Recently we have celebrated Easter. This is the day that Jesus was resurrected so many years ago. Three days earlier, He had died on the cross in atonement for our sins. He died for us, me, you. That is a pretty amazing concept. This time of year always makes me think of things like this:
Today is the day that the world will become a better place because the people have decided to step up, to stand out of their comfort zones and make it so.
I don't have much of a clue as to why my time around Easter is consumed by thoughts of things like this, but it is. Part of me thinks that this doesn't go along with Jesus dying for us but another part of me says that it does because what is the point in living our lives for Jesus if He hadn't walked out of that tomb? What would the point be in defending our faith? That's why I think that today and tomorrow and the next day are the days that the world will become better. It will become better because God will be having more of an impact because we, His children are beginning to stand up for our beliefs. I mean seriously think about it. Jesus was resurrected over 2,000 years ago and today He still has a major impact on our lives. The churches keep growing and people continue to open their hearts. It's amazing really. But during Easter I think not only of Jesus coming back to life so that I might be forgiven and saved but I also think of how that affected His growing kingdom.
