I am a 17 year-old who likes to imagine that her voice is meant to be heard and that her opinion does matter. I believe that what I have to say about God and life can make a difference no matter how young I am.
The Turn Around:
Well actually before I tell you about me and my blog, I should probably explain a little more of the background. Slowly this site is adapting, changing and bending to fit the different stages of my life. It went from a Christian blog to a teen blog and now I'm going to blend the two together. My faith in God was such a huge factor in the original reason for creating a blog in the first place, but I have grown a lot since then. I've been faced with so many challenges. My faith has been tested. I've taken several steps forward and a few steps back in my journey with God, but my faith had held. Never went away. It's my life line. I don't know what I'd do if I cast my faith in God out. He means everything to me which is why I am this is going back to a Christian blog.
I should also tell you that I haven't been very faithful to my blog. I've kind of cast it aside and only posted randomly. Well I'm going to really work on that. I am hoping that with the new look it'll be like a new start and I am going to try to really buckle down and stick to it. So, please just bare with me.
So, my name is Samantha. I am a senior in high school. It's my last year of high school, my last year of school with the kids I've grown up with since kindergarten. After this, I'm going to college three hours away. I guess it's kind of bitter sweet. It's the end, but it's also a new beginning.
I want to go to college to become a veterinarian. My choice of career has been my dream since I was just learning to walk. I was the kid who would bring strays home and beg my parents to let me keep them. I used to keep open cans of tuna on our side porch so the stray cats wouldn't starve. I loved taking my pets to the vet because I was able to ask a million questions about what the doctor was doing. I am definitely an animal person, and my heart is just set on helping all the sick animals in the world.
My favorite hobbies are working at a local vet clinic (obviously), reading, writing (obviously), exercising, running, and art. I am not the kind of person who can just sit and not do anything. I always have to be busy. If I'm watching TV, then I'm also drawing or doing sit ups. I fidget a lot because I can't sit still. So my hobbies come in handy.
Basically, I am a teen. Just like every other teen out there. I face numerous challenges everyday. I have many hopes and dreams, many fears and insecurities that I let hold me back. There is so much that goes on in my life. Sometimes it is a struggle. Life is hard, and that is what this blog is about. I want to write about being a teen, but I also want people to see how much God can affect a single life. I want people to be able to relate. So, I hope you enjoy my blog! Be sure to email me or comment your thoughts. I love hearing from you guys.
